One thing I promise every client at Novauria: I'll never stop learning. Skin science moves fast, and if I'm not keeping up with it, I'm not giving you the best I can.
So I wanted to share something I'm genuinely excited about - I've booked myself onto chemical peel training this year, and it's going to open up a whole new way for me to help with skin concerns I currently can't fully treat.
What a chemical peel actually does
A chemical peel uses a controlled solution to gently remove the outer layer of skin, encouraging faster cell turnover underneath. Done properly, it can help with:
Uneven texture and rough patches
Pigmentation and sun damage
Congested or acne-prone skin
Fine lines and a dull, tired complexion
The results build over a course of treatments rather than overnight - which suits how I like to work. No drama, no downtime disasters, just steady, visible improvement.
Why now
I get asked fairly often whether I offer peels, and right now the honest answer is "not yet, but I'm working on it." Rather than add something to the menu because it's popular, I wanted to actually train properly first - understand the different acid strengths, know exactly who's a good candidate, and be confident handling anything that comes up. That's the same standard I hold every treatment I offer to.
I have enrolled with the beauty barn academy in Mersham, they're who i did my facial course with to and i genuinely feel they're the best fit for me on my skin journey.
What this means for you
Once training is complete, chemical peels will sit alongside facials and skin boosters as another option for building your personalised treatment plan - particularly useful for anyone dealing with texture, pigmentation or breakouts who wants something a step up from a facial but gentler than microneedling.
If this is something you've been waiting for, keep an eye on Instagram and here on the blog - I'll share updates as training progresses, and existing clients will hear first when peels are ready to book.
As always, the goal isn't to add treatments for the sake of it. It's to make sure whatever concern you bring to me, I've got a genuinely good answer for it.
